The Canadian fur trade, a world leader in setting ethical standards.

The fur trade is highly regulated in Canada. It uses only a small part of the surplus produced by nature each year, an ecological principle supported by the World Wildlife Fund and every major conservation organization. Endangered species are never used.

Canada is also a world leader in developing and applying responsible animal-welfare standards for the production of both wild and farmed furs.
